Nalcor Energy v. Nunatukavut Community Council Inc., 2012 CanLII 61265 (NL SCTD)

This case was heard in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador (Trial Division).

Nalcor Energy (“Nalcor”) applied for the continuation of an interim injunction that had been made against members of the NunatuKavut Community Council who were protesting against the development of a hydroelectric project at Muskrat Falls. After considering the positions of the parties, the Court granted the interim injunction and set out a number of orders designed to prevent the protesters from interfering with Nalcor’s activities.
