Grand Riverkeeper, Labrador Inc v. Canada (Attorney General), 2012 FC 1520 (CanLII)
This case was heard in the Federal Court of Canada.
A proposed hydroelectric project was assessed by a joint review panel operating under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act. After the joint review panel issued its final report, Grand Riverkeeper applied for judicial review of the report and also asked the Court to prevent the project from moving forward. The application was dismissed, as the Court held that the environmental assessment process had been conducted reasonably, correctly, and fairly.
